“Knowledge always gives us the power to understand the world.”
With this mindset, I completed my medical studies at Sapienza University of Rome in 2006, graduating with a score of 106/110 and having been awarded five scholarships by the Italian state. In 2016, I obtained my specialization in General Surgery, accredited by the Greek state.
At the same time, my deep interest in breast pathology led me to pursue further specialization. I was awarded the European FEBS qualification in Breast Surgery by the UEMS, following formal examinations, and I also completed postgraduate studies in Breast Cancer Pathology at the University of Ulm, Germany, earning the Certificate of Competence in Breast Cancer (CCBC) with a grade of Good.
This ongoing journey of understanding and dedication to breast disease subsequently took me abroad as a fellow of the European School of Oncology, where I received advanced training in breast surgery and oncoplastic techniques. From 2020 to 2021, I trained for approximately one year in Dublin, Ireland, at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, gaining hands-on experience in a high-volume academic setting.
This body of knowledge is reflected in my scientific publications (attached), my annual participation as a speaker at multiple medical conferences in Greece, and my role as a member of the Scientific Committee of the Hellenic Society for Breast Imaging and Surgery (EMEIS) at its annual congress. In addition, I have been elected by the general assembly to the Council of the European School of Oncology, where I currently serve as Chair of the Working Group on Education.

While knowledge gives us power and understanding of the world, it is humanity that provides the ethical framework and direction—ensuring that knowledge serves the greater good, rather than becoming a mere accumulation of information without meaning or, worse, a tool for misuse.
Respect and compassion are the only compass that guides my use of knowledge, always directed toward the well-being and care of my patients.
